RAV4 in the winter

With winter settling in, you’re likely asking yourself, “What am I going to do this winter?”. The staff here at Quesnel Toyota have been thinking the same thing and have come up with a few suggestions on how you can embrace winter this year:

Gold Rush Trail Sled Dog Mail Run

For more than 25 years this 4-day annual event has attracted people from throughout Canada and around the world. Take a drive in your Toyota and follow the route that leads to Barkerville, BC. This is a unique race that sees dog teams and mushers who have been sworn in as official mail carriers race via dog sled that involves loops of the same route that winds through forests, logging roads, and other conditions over three days.

Barkerville Town and Park

Gather the kids and their friends, pick up grandma, and head up to the historical Bakerville Town and Park in your Toyota van or SUV. This historical park has something for everyone, especially the kids. While they may yawn when they hear about going to a historical park, they’ll have a great time skating, tubing, enjoying a bonfire, and all sorts of other activities.

Hangman Springs Trails

To really embrace winter in BC you have to hit the trails...the snowmobile trails that is. Hook up your trailer to your Toyota truck or SUV and take your sled to the trails. Just 20 minutes from Quesnel is Hangman Springs Trails, and you can enjoy these well-maintained trails all winter long. Be aware, though, that you can encounter fallen trees and other obstacles.

These are just a few ideas on how you can make the most of the winter. If you have other ideas on how to embrace winter in your Toyota let us know, we may feature your idea in future blog posts.
